Nancy Potter
is a speech-language pathologist and recently retired as a professor in Speech & Hearing Sciences at Washington State University in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Potter earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is an experienced clinician who has worked in just about every setting. Her federally funded research program is focused on identifying and treating motor speech disorders in babies, children, and adolescents. Dr. Potter’s current research, Babble Boot Camp, looks at starting speech therapy as young as eight weeks of age in babies with classic galactosemia, a known genetic risk for severe speech and language disorders. She is the co-author the Babble Boot Camp Basic Training course available through Northern Speech Services. She has published and presented her research nationally and internationally. Dr. Potter has given numerous workshops for practicing speech-language pathologists across the country on assessment and treatment of CAS and dysarthria.
